Description
This is a new hand crafted wood sign for outdoor or indoor use that has GPS coordinates and your family name. Makes a great house warming gift. The sign measurements are 5 1/2" X 9 1/2". I will send you a computer simulation for you to preview of the sign before I ship it out. Each sign is hand made in my workshop. Letters are made using a laser etcher, and rest of the sign is hand crafted. Each sign has its own special characteristics such as: wood grain, knots in the wood; minor imperfections in the wood itself, as well as characteristics that may develop during the hand crafting process. Has a keyhole slot on back for hanging or you can drill a hole and use a nail. *** please leave me a note at checkout telling me the family name you want on your sign*** *** I will use the GPS coordinates for the shipping address. If you want something different then please supply me with the address. *** Picture is a representation of sign being sold. The laser literally burns the lettering into the wood. * Made from real cedar (see below) which is rated for outdoor use * Please see my other listings for more carved wood items Common Name: Cedar Scientific Name: Thuja plicata Distribution: Pacific Northwest United States/Canada Tree Size: 165-200 ft (50-60 m) tall, 7-13 ft (2-4 m) trunk diameter Average Dried Weight: 23 lbs/ft3 (370 kg/m3) Specific Gravity (Basic, 12% MC): .31, .37 Janka Hardness: 350 lbf (1,560 N) Shrinkage: Radial: 2.4%, Tangential: 5.0%, Volumetric: 6.8%, T/R Ratio: 2.1 Color/Appearance: Heartwood reddish to pinkish brown, often with random streaks and bands of darker red/brown areas.
