The history of the St. Patrick’s Guild First Name plaque begins with a Minnesota ministry that rehabilitated drug addicts in the 1970's. The goal was to motivate each addict to live into the potential that God placed in them as revealed through their first name. The plaques developed over time and became a product line that eventually was purchased by a couple who maintains the same prayer today: "May this First Name plaque be a blessing in the life of the person whose name appears on the plaque."
